Study Tour Experience for International Master's Applicants: Immerse in HSE University Student Life
The Study Tour Experience is a unique project for those who want to experience HSE student life and upgrade their CVs. The international training internship by the HSE International Admissions Office has been functioning since 2020 in two formats (offline and online) and in two languages—Russian and English. In the fall semester of the 2024/25 academic year, the Study Tour Experience is planned for November 11–23, 2024.

Stella Art Foundation Exhibition Featuring Works of HSE Art and Design School Teachers to Last until May 26
The Stella Art Foundation has launched the exhibition 'About All the Things That Live There’ by Curator of the Master’s track ‘Video Art’ at HSE Art and Design School Alexandra Mitlyanskaya, Coordinator of the ‘Photography’ track at HSE Art and Design School Evgenia Solomatina, as well as artist Nina Kotel. The project is curated by Alexey Korsi.
‘The Goal of the Contest Is to Select Bold Ideas Aimed at Fostering a More Equitable Global Development’
HSE Vice Rector, Head of the BRICS Expert Council–Russia and Co-chair of the BRICS Civil Forum Victoria Panova, and Dean of the HSE Faculty of Humanities and Chair of the Contest Jury Felix Azhimov, announced the primary objectives of the contest, its format and potential participants during a press conference at TASS. Nationals from the BRICS countries, aged 18 to 45, are eligible to apply for participation in the contest. The jury will select ten winners, three of whom will be given the opportunity to attend the BRICS Civil Forum in Moscow in person.
HSE University to Reward Students Who Write Their Thesis Using AI
HSE University has launched a competition for solutions using artificial intelligence technology in theses work. The goal of the competition is to evaluate how students use tools based on generative models in their 2024 graduation theses (GT).
Exhibition by HSE Art and Design School Students Now Open at Fabrika Centre
The Fabrika Centre for Creative Industries is hosting a graduation exhibition by bachelor’s students of Contemporary Art at the HSE Art and Design School. In the exhibition titled ‘Freedom of Absurdity’, the early-career artists present their interpretations of melancholy. The exhibition is open to visitors until April 21, 2024, and admission is free of charge.
HSE University and Museum of Moscow Organise Excursions to Durasov House
In order to preserve and promote Moscow’s cultural heritage, HSE University and the Museum of Moscow have signed a cooperation agreement. As part of this partnership, they organise excursions to the Durasov House, an architectural monument of the late XVIII century, which is part of the university building complex on Pokrovsky Bulvar. The first tour will take place on March 30.
HSE University and GES-2 to Hold Second Annual Conference 'Researching the Deaf Community'
HSE University's International Laboratory for Social Integration Research, together with the GES-2 House of Culture, will hold the Second Annual Interdisciplinary Conference 'Researching the Deaf Community.' The forum will address issues related to the social, cultural and linguistic aspects of deaf people’s lives. The conference will be held from May 31 to June 2 at the GES-2 House of Culture.
A Shadow Play Performed by Students to Premiere at HSE School of Design
On March 16, first-year students of the ‘Event Design. Theatre. Performance’ programme at the HSE Art and Design School will perform a shadow play entitled 'Don't Seek Summer in Winter.' The premiere performance and the preceding event are based on a Slovak folk legend and Samuel Marshak's fairy tale 'The Twelve Months.' The performers will guide the audience through the four seasons, allowing viewers to experience all twelve months at once, like the main character in the fairy tale, and to discover light amidst the all-encompassing darkness. The event is open to anyone interested, but registration is required.
CIBA 2024: Meeting of Art and Business at the New Stage of Alexandrinsky Theatre
On March 17, the New Stage of Alexandrinsky Theatre will hold CIBA—the conference about creative industries—for the fourth time. It is a joint project of HSE University-St Petersburg students and the New Stage. The central topic of this year is immersion in the nature of creativity and creative crises. Entry to the event is free but registration is required.
