Implication and Suspension

In which Prof. Haas argues that the problem of implication suspends the necessary and contingent, as much as the possible and impossible. For although implications such as being and unity, time and aspect, are neither present or absent, that does not mean they are nothing at all; but rather that they are problematic for the traditional understanding of philosophy as metaphysics, for ethics and politics, epistemology and aesthetics, and so for us as well.
